Obituary

Kaiser Gary Sr. 85, went home to be with the Lord on November 3, 2010 at Akron Summa Hospital, Hospice Service.

He was born July 20, 1925 in Horn Lake, Mississippi. He lived in the Akron community for the past 53 years, where he retired from Babcox and Wilcox. He served in the United States Army during World War II in Central Eurpoe. He was a member of The House OF Prayer For All People Church under the leadership of Pastor R. Stacey Jenkins and was a beloved and devoted Deacon, Elder and "Dad Gary" of the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Flanders Gary Jr. and Mary Liddell-Gary; his wife Nannie M. Gary; brothers and sisters, Sally, Corean, George, Mary Lou and Jones; son, Fred S. Gary; daughter, Kathy M. Gary; and step daughter, Gwendolyn Hoisten.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Bettye Gary; son, Kaiser (Rachel) Gary Jr; daughters, Debra (Louis) Garden and Mary (Daryl) Gary Stephens all of Akron; one sister, Vervie Gary-Guy of Horn Lake, Mississippi. He also leaves grandchildren, Fred, Kimberly, Lisha, Kaiser III, Krystal, Kelly, Jason, Henry, Clifford, April and Taylor, many great-grandchildren; step children, William (Juanita) Boyd, Don (Thelma) Boyd, Ron (Joanne) Boyd, Torri Bell, Carla (Jerry) Niederheiser, and Gary (Kim) Hoisten; nieces, nephews and a host of other family members and friends.

One of Dad's common statements was "I'm ready anytime...to go home!" to be with GOD. So we as the family are saddened by his loss, but also celebrate his Home Going and a life well lived. Dad never claimed to be a perfect man, we all know him as a "Redeemed" man, who truly loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his fellow man. He constantly gave his love, time, friendship, and forgiveness freely and he leaves us all with a legacy of his love. Our brother said "Dad was a man's man. He was small in stature, but a big man in every other way".

We have been blessed to have had a wonderful Christian, Husband, Father, Friend and Mentor.

Tribute

From Anzinetti "Netti" Rezents on January 16th, 2010
My second cousin, Shirley and Uncle Edward "Hemp" Hemphill you both have done a wonderful job in creating our family reunion.  I came all the way from Honolulu, Hawaii to attend your first family reunion from Honolulu, HI.   Our family reunion has grown quite a bit;  adding more relatives we didn't know that were related to us to attend our family reunion.  Although you both are not around, our family reunion will live forever.
