MOVE FORWARD ANYWAY: YOU CAN DO THIS
Monday; June 18, 2018
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Isaiah 43:2
TODAY’S CHALLENGE – FIND A WAY TO DO WHAT YOU DO WELL. Whatever you’re good at, do it! You have gifts -- use them! The things you do well, are the things you enjoy. They’re the things that challenge your creativity. They’re the things that motivate you to learn, to experiment, to attempt, to persevere, to grow. They give you satisfaction and a genuine feeling of accomplishment. Find a way to do what you do well. Incorporate your special gifts into everything you do, wherever you do it, in whatever the context. You’re unique. You have experience that no other person has. You have special talents, skills, and a unique perspective. Other people can benefit from what you have. Look for ways to make a unique contribution, and you’ll unleash the power and fulfillment that is already a part of you.
MOVE FORWARD ANYWAY: YOU CAN DO THIS. You see we have to realize that there is always a blessing – in every moment there is a blessing – in all that happens there is a blessing – in every circumstance there is a blessing – in every situation there is a blessing. Make sure that you remember that you were and you are built for this journey called life. The Bible reminds us that the principles in agriculture apply to every aspect of life. Farmers only reap a harvest if they sow the right seeds into the right soil at the right time. Beautiful gardens develop only as we sow the right seeds into the right soil at the right time. But similar patterns can be found in finances and health, in our relationships and mental development, and we see these patterns in our spiritual lives. One way the Bible expresses this principle is encouraging us to “cast our bread on the waters.” Normally, we might feel compelled to hold on to that bread – to store it up. Instead, the Bible encourages us to cast this bread. To let it go. To invest it. In particular, we might be reluctant to cast this bread into water. In the natural world, bread radically changes if it is cast into water. It becomes something different. But amazing things can happen when we apply these principles in the spiritual dimension. The Bible reminds us that real blessings come as we give. As Jesus taught, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your bosom. For with the measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38). The Bible also reminds us that it can take time for Seeds to grow. We don’t Sow Seeds one day and Reap the next. Similarly, we Reap a Harvest in the right season, “after many days.” In your life, ask God to show you how you can cast your bread into water. Don’t hold on to the resources you have been given but step out in faith and be bold. Give that you might receive a bountiful Harvest. Trust God to bless you for your faithfulness. Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.Ecclesiastes 11:1
Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
Give generously to him, and do not let your heart be grieved when you do so. And because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything to which you put your hand. Deuteronomy 15:10

Today and each day Father, thank You for the opportunities You have given me. Help me to serve You faithfully. Free me from distractions and help me focus on Your calling on my life
